Introduction

Luua Forestry School, established in 1948, holds a unique distinction as the only vocational school in Estonia that specializes in various forestry-related subjects. Over the years, we have grown and diversified our curriculum to include three primary teaching fields: forestry, horticulture, and nature tourism.

Our expansive campus encompasses over 9,000 hectares of forested land, complemented by a 9-hectare arboretum housing a wide variety of tree species and their variants. These resources serve as invaluable tools for our students, providing them with hands-on learning experiences.

At Luua, we take great pride in our strong partnerships with a wide range of companies. This collaborative approach enhances our students' practical skills and provides them with real-world insights into the forestry industry. Our innovative 360-degree traineeship system has earned recognition as an outstanding example of practical training and learning.

Our school community comprises approximately 500 students and nearly 90 dedicated staff members, including 35 teachers. With more than 4,000 accomplished alumni, Luua Forestry School continues to make a significant impact on the field of forestry education.

In addition to our core educational programs, we offer a diverse selection of supplementary training courses. Each year, approximately 700 adults participate in these courses, benefiting from our extensive expertise and resources.

Luua Forestry School's magnificent location within the beautiful Vooremaa region, nestled in Jõgeva County, Estonia, sets the stage for a truly unique learning experience. The pearl of our institution is in a centuries-old manor house, surrounded by a park featuring distinctive architectural elements and rare species. The proximity of Lake Prossa adds to the charm and serenity of our surroundings.

Welcome to Luua Forestry School, where a commitment to knowledge, environmental stewardship, and sustainable practices come together in a breathtaking natural setting. We invite you to be a part of our rich heritage and promising future.
